reminds me of three years ago in spring when mother and I dove into a cenote inhabited by catfish. The path to the water ended in steps leading into somewhat murky water. Small catfish squeezed into the few inches of water over the highest step, next step down the fish were larger, and I could not see to the next. Durring that hour swim I was so afraid that there would be a big black catfish in the deep end of the pool.
